London Place is excited to announce the forthcoming delivery of a new PowerWave fitness studio at its site on White Hart Lane, Barnes.

Located within the new mixed-use Brookfield Mews scheme, PowerWave will occupy a 1,284sq.ft. unit over ground and basement, which is being fitted with a bespoke finish to meet the needs of the boutique studio. PowerWave will be opening at its first London site, expanding from existing Hubs in Bromley, Bexleyheath and Gravesend. The PowerWave concept combines its unique, patented training device with 20-minute HIIT class proven to increase metabolism, strength and endurance.

Brookfield Mews is due for completion in early 2020, with further news of other occupiers at the site soon to be released.

London Place is launching a new day nursery in Acton Gardens.

Located within the flagship new development of 3,500 new homes, which is a joint venture between Countryside LLP and L&Q, the property occupies a prominent position adjacent to South Acton Overground station.

The property will be occupied by VD Nursery Group, who are expanding their Little Inventors Montessori Nursery (littleinventorsmontessori.co.uk) brand from their existing four high-performing west London sites. London Place Acquisitions Manager Jack Davey hopes this will be the start of a new partnership with VD: “this is really exciting for both parties and we believe we’ve delivered a top class space for the VD team to move into”.

VD hope to launch their new site early in 2020.

Last Sunday 8th September, London Place entered the team relay event of the 2019 Channel Triathlon in Folkestone, raising money for Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent.

Last Sunday 8th September, London Place entered the team relay event of the 2019 Channel Triathlon in Folkestone, raising money for Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent. The team ‘Pilgrims Progress’ consisted of members Richard, Jack and Henry who each took on one leg of the Olympic distance triathlon, and were delighted to finish winners of the team event!

In perfect conditions, the event began with a 1.5km sea swim from Folkestone Harbour, followed by the 40km bike leg around Hawkinge, Densole and Paddlesworth before heading back to Folkestone for the 10km run along the waterfront towards Sandgate (full event report here).

Fundraising for Pilgrims Hospices, London Place were delighted with the level of support received and have raised £4,610 at the last check, with donations continuing to come in after the event. The money raised will go towards the provision of care and support for those with life limiting illnesses across East Kent, both at home and at Pilgrims’ three therapy centres in Ashton, Canterbury and Thanet.

The first unit will be occupied by Finest Dental, who have agreed a 20-year lease and are soon to begin fitting out the space with a targeted opening of Q1 202. Finest Dental are a specialist cosmetic dental surgery operating in 9 other sites across the UK, backed up by an in-house laboratory and customer service centre.

Located just minutes from the thriving centre of Hammersmith, Sovereign Court is a high quality mixed use development built by St George Plc. London Place will be purchasing the entire commercial element of the scheme, and are set to release Unit 2 later in 2020.

Banning have previously signed at London Place’s site at Baltic Avenue, Brentford, and with this location now fully operational both parties were delighted to continue working together. Similarly to Brentford, Banning are creating state of the art spaces which set a new standard for dentistry and will feel more luxury showroom than dentist waiting room.

They have ambitious plans to grow throughout the Greater London region, setting up state-of-the-art practices to provide advanced dental services for local communities. Construction continues apace at White Hart Lane, Barnes, where London Place will be providing over 3,500ft2 of premium business space within a mews development built by developer partners Kuropatwa Ltd. Also featuring 8 luxury residential apartments, the site now has all foundations and basements dug, and the upper floors will soon start to take shape after demolition and ground clearance was completed throughout 2018.

London Place are delighted to be involved with such a high quality development, and recently facilitated the installation of a footbridge by Network Rail over the rail way track adjacent to the development. The footbridge now provides a vital link to the shops, cafés and restaurants of White Hart Lane, allowing pedestrians to travel freely without the delays of the rail crossing.

Banning Dental Group is a privately-owned consortium which currently comprises 8 staff and 3 highly qualified dentists. They have ambitious plans to grow throughout the Greater London region, setting up state-of-the-art practices to provide advanced dental services for local communities.

Drawn to the quality transport links and high street frontage of Baltic Place, the new dental practice expects to attract patients locally and from further afield.  Banning will be fitting out the unit into a ‘showroom’ type experience, to include advanced equipment such as digital scanners, x-rays, surgical microscopes and surgical beds & lighting.
